Participants will learn about the key components of the Biliteracy Planner and understand how to utilize Amplify CKLA and Caminos tools to plan for and strengthen dual language instruction. Grades K-5.
Teachers will be immersed in the foundational building blocks of Dual Language Education (DLE): the why, what, who, when and how of DLE will be discussed. We will explore the history and powerful pillars of DLE, the three master plan programs, and content and language allocation structures. The theoretical concepts that guide DLE implementation will ground all educators in how the goals of DLE are continuously and dynamically strengthened and interwoven at schools through social justice-oriented actions and learning.
