Dr. Arielle Miller specializes in urban teacher development and quality. As a 20-year Los Angeles Unified School District veteran and former secondary English teacher, her progressive approach to lesson design and implementation rendered tremendous success with student achievement. During her career in the classroom, Dr. Arielle Miller was recognized as an LAUSD teacher of the year and Outstanding Master Teacher from California State University Los Angeles.
Currently, Dr. Arielle Miller works in Human Resources in Peer Assistance and Review as a Consulting Teacher, supporting educators through lesson observation, co-planning, and reflective cognitive coaching-based conferences. She also creates and facilitates professional development for all of LAUSD and is directly involved in supporting the New Teacher Orientation and Emerging Teachers programs in the district.
Dr. Arielle Miller has presented at CABE and established herself as a leader on the campuses in which she worked, co-authoring and securing the funding for a School for Advanced Studies, serving as Chairperson of School Site Council, Lead Teacher, and Department Chair. Dr. Arielle Miller has her single subject teaching credential in English grades 7-12, a preliminary Tier I Administrative Credential, and obtained her Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California.
In her free time, Dr. Miller coaches mountain biking, teaches fitness classes, and enjoys spending any and all of her time riding any one of her 4 bikes.
